Unlike credit products, consumers may terminate their Kafene lease early without any ongoing obligations.
We build our product so that everyone who leases is able to reach full ownership
If the vast majority of customers aren’t able to successfully pay off their lease and own their item, then we’re not doing our job.
Consumers pay less for items than if they financed with a credit card
Credit cards make for expensive forms of debt. Our goal is for the vast majority of customers to be paying less from a total cost of ownership perspective by leasing with Kafene than by financing with a credit card.
We build our products so all consumers come back to lease with Kafene again and again
With Kafene’s LTO model, customers who pay off their leases in the first 90 days pay only a flat processing premium. Those who make only the minimum payment over the maximum term pay more for the increased flexibility. We are focused on ensuring that even this customer seeks to choose Kafene as their leasing partner for all future transactions, showing their trust in the Kafene brand.
We report all payment information to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion
We believe that customers who pay on time should be rewarded with a positive payment history.

Consumer-Friendly Data Practices
Conventional credit scores look at a limited number of inputs. The credit system leaves behind lots of people who would be creditworthy but are excluded or penalized by the outdated bureau scoring system. At Kafene, we use an AI-driven, machine learning model that looks at 20,000 data points to find those who others leave behind. We take our responsibility for protecting that data very seriously.
These are basic guidelines we will always follow:
Never resell data
We believe that if a company generates non-public data, it carries an obligation not to resell it.
No cross-selling unrelated goods and services
If data was collected to facilitate a lease-to-own transaction, we believe there are appropriate instances to offer other products within the sphere of consumer credit, but we do not believe it is ethical to monetize data through unrelated services, such as selling advertising.
Overcommunicate how data will be used in simple language
We believe in being as transparent as possible as to how data will be used and we make sure our transparency is never obscured by legalese.
Respect consumer data privacy requests
Customers have the right to have certain data deleted. Kafene always honors these requests.
Keep data maximally secure
This should go without saying in today’s world. Kafene respects data integrity and privacy. Protecting PII and generated data is a fundamental responsibility.
